What is a Children's Centre?
Children’s Centres provide support for families in giving their children under five years of age the best start in life. Parents, grandparents and carers can benefit from better opportunities with access to childcare, family support, health services, outreach services, training and employment advice.
We work in your community from the hub office at Fleetville Junior School, and our Marshalswick office in Sherwood Avenue. Many of our services are delivered from a variety of outreach venues. Our aim is to support services that already exist, as well as to provide additional services to meet the community’s needs.
How can Children's Centres help me?
Children's Centres are there to offer all families support during the important early years of their child's development, and offer opportunities to access play and learning. Children's Centre staff can support families via outreach and work in partnership with other early years professionals to offer clinics, such as Well Baby Clinics, Newborn Hearing Screening and Educational Psychologist appointments. There are also many other courses running, including Baby Massage and Yoga and Save a Life First Aid.
